Wyndy River Expeditions and Perry Lake Lodge bring a unique experience riding the trails of the wilderness in Northeastern Ontario. We offer several types of packages, along with daily trail rides thru the Boreal Forrests surrounding the Lodge.
Wyndy River Expeditions keeps group sizes to a minimum, so that personal attention can be given to all levels of riders, for an enjoyable, and memorable experience.
Our herd of mostly quarter horses have very good temperments and are considered safe for even beginner riders.
We pride ourselves in giving every rider a chance to enjoy the scenery on horseback, however, due to safety reasons, and insurance policy, we restrict riders to a minimum of 12 years of age, and all riders must be able to mount and dismount their horse without any assistance. We also require riders to wear appropriate foot wear for riding. No sneakers allowed. Please wear a good quality work/western boot with a heel.
TRAIL RIDE PACKAGES
Lodge Stay/Back country camp: This is a 5 day, 4 night package that is available in August and September only. All accommodations, meals and riding are included. Your trip consists of 2 nights Lodge accommodations, and 2 nights in the back country camps. Group sizes of 4 guests only, and 2 guides for this adventure. You will ride approx 4 hours per day, with the exception of the first and last days, where you will ride 1.5 hours each (check in/check out day).
Lodge Stay and Ride: This is a 6 day, 5 night package that is available from early June to early October. All accommodations, meals and riding are included. Your trip consists of 5 nights accommodation in a Lodge room, doubled occupancy, riding approx 4 hours per day, except the first and last day of your trip. Upon check in, you will ride for 1.5 hours, just to get your feet wet. Dinner is provided for the first night, and breakfast for the last day, with another 1.5 hour ride.
